Job Specifics
Duties Description Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Design, build and maintain multi-dimensional data warehouse/data marts
•Develop and maintain extraction codes in Oracle PL/SQL and ETL Tools
•Develop and maintain analytical Reports/Dashboards using Spotfire
or similar reporting tool
•Install, upgrade and perform maintenance of Spotfire, Data Migrator and Neo4j
•Develop and maintain computer programs in Python, R, IronPython, JavaScript
•Develop and maintain automated deployment scripts and jobs
•Develop and maintain documentation for existing and new systems (users’
requirement, system diagrams, ER diagrams, source-to-target mapping documents)
•Develop and preform unit testing, data cleansing and validation
•Troubleshoot and fix bugs, errors and data discrepancies issues
•Supervise and mentor entry level programmer
•Work schedule includes production support after hours and weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
•Strong experience with ActiveBatch job creation, scheduling and testing

Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
•Reachable on current Civil Service eligible list for this title; OR
•One year of permanent, competitive class service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law. Eligible titles include, but aren’t limited to: Information Technology Specialist 3, Human Resources Specialist 2, Business Systems Analyst 2
Additional Comments For new State employees appointed to graded positions, the annual salary is the hiring rate (beginning of the Salary Range) of the position. Promotion salaries are calculated by the NYS Office of the State Comptroller in accordance with NYS Civil Service Law, OSC Payroll rules and regulations and negotiated union contracts.
