Duties Description The Incident Management Unit (IMU) within the Division of Quality Improvement was created as part of the initiative to ensure the safety and welfare of individuals with developmental disabilities. The Agency Program Aides will be responsible for:
• Interacting with agencies to meet the requirements of Mental Hygiene Law (MHL) 16.34 and entering statewide data into the system.
• Review the MHL 16.34 database for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Review MHL 16.34 results to assess for accuracy and thoroughness.
• Process Statewide Central Register Database Checks (SCR) for OPWDD Registered Provider Agencies.
• Enter data into the OCFS database for the SCR checks and interact with OCFS representatives.
• Enter data into an internal database of SCR Check Information for tracking and reporting purposes.
• Interact with OPWDD Registered Providers to meet the requirements of the SCR check.
• Direct incident reporting emails received via an OUTLOOK shared mailbox system to assigned internal Incident Management Unit (IMU) staff.
• Upload Letters of Determination (LODs) to their respective Incident Report and Management Application (IRMA) record.
• Enter data into IRMA to capture the upload of the LODs.
• Interact, via IRMA with OPWDD Agencies to advise their LODs have been uploaded.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Eligible List
Candidates must be reachable for appointment on Current Civil Service Eligible List for this title.

OR

Transfer
Candidates must have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/c status in the posted title and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be eligible to transfer via Section 70.1 or 70.4 of Civil Service Law. The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in an advancement of more than two salary grades.

OR

Reassignment
Current Office for People with Developmental Disabilities employees with one year of permanent, contingent permanent, or 55 B/C service as a Program Aide. If you have less than one year, you must be currently reachable on the eligible list.
